In light of the launch of Flint Group’s new website, we thought we’d enlighten you with a look back at our sites over the years. After all, who can you laugh at if you can’t laugh at yourself?
Enjoy.
1998
Our first site features one of my favorite things: ice cream. Take note: We had cutting-edge email from Netscape’s NetCenter.
You’ll notice the “Ice Cream Social” button. I think we were implementing an innovative SEO strategy to obtain clients seeking advertising services for their annual ice cream socials. But hey, what do I know? I was still in diapers then. (Okay, okay … maybe more like overalls.
We underlined the links and used blue so you’d know you could click them. Get it?
Sombrero sun hats were also very stylish.
2000
Ice cream was big back then. You know, before Atkins and whatnot.
2001
Flash was hot! Tiny type was in, too – obviously, since we all had small monitors. Here, we shrewdly start with a grey splash screen (also hot), before introducing our homepage.
The suspense is killing you, right?
One thing that hasn’t changed from the early 2000s: Our incredibly dashing employees.
2005
I’m starting to miss the ice cream.
2010
This iteration showcases our expertise and work from Flint Group’s four expanded locations. Not bad …While this site worked well for us for years, we wanted to offer a better user experience, including responsive design.
Drumroll please …
2013 – New site
Okay, so this may not have ice cream, but hot damn is it refreshing.
