To celebrate its 25th year in business, our St. Cloud office, HatlingFlint, set a goal to give back to 25 local area organizations throughout the year.
Here are some of the latest Project Spark activities (you can also see the other activities in this blog post and this blog post:
1×1 Gala donation (possibly for our future employees!)
HatlingFlint donated some Flint Group winter gear as door prizes at the AAF Central MN 1×1 Gala. For this yearly event, students and others in the agency business decorate a 1-foot by 1-foot block. These blocks are then voted on and auctioned off in a silent auction. Proceeds support St. Cloud State University’s National Student Advertising Competition.
Homemade cards for heroes
HatlingFlint took part in the American Red Cross’ “Holiday Mail for Heroes” and created nine handmade holiday cards for our troops overseas. Each card included a hand-written message.
Coats for Salvation Army residents
Rapids Alterations & Repair, a local alterations shop in Sauk Rapids, MN, partnered with the Salvation Army on a coat drive. Even coats with broken zippers or missing buttons were accepted because Rapids Alterations would repair the items! Along with WestmorelandFlint, our Duluth office, we donated seven boxes full of gently used coats, hats and mittens.
Paws-ing for gift wrapping
Each year, the Tri-County Humane Society in St. Cloud raises money around the holidays by hosting a gift-wrapping station at Crossroads Mall. One of our associates (yours truly, Account Manager Emily) volunteered to wrap gifts for four hours, and shoppers’ donations went to help Humane Society dogs and cats.
Warm fuzzies
We donated yarn to the St. Cloud Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), and their lovely members knitted and crocheted scarves, hats and gloves for kids from low-income families in the Warm Fuzzies program.
Lending a hand
The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce hosts an annual “Farm Show” – a three-day convention for anyone and anything farming-related. This free event is largely staffed by volunteers. Again, I proudly spent a day volunteering at the information booth. It was a fun opportunity to meet local growers and ag industry folks.
Thanks for helping us celebrate 25 years in business. We’ve been sparked to continue sharing and donating!
