Social media contest doubles jewelry store’s Facebook likes in 1 month


Last August, we worked with long-time Flint Group client Wimmer’s Diamonds to launch Lucky in Love – a Facebook contest to find and crown the cutest couple in the Fargo area.

How it worked

Lucky in Love was hosted on the Wimmer’s Diamonds Facebook page.

We asked people to:

  1. Like Wimmer’s Diamonds on Facebook.
  2. Upload a photo of themselves and their significant other.
  3. Share a little bit about themselves as a couple.
  4. Ask their friends and family to vote for their entry.

After a month, the lovers with the most votes won a Wimmer’s Diamonds gift card and a dream date in the heart of downtown Fargo.

Double the fans, double the fun

Lucky in Love was an overwhelming success, to say the least. Eighty people entered the contest, garnering a whopping 5,380 votes. Plus, it drew more than 15,000 unique visitors to Wimmer’s Diamonds’ Facebook page.

And the best part? Wimmer’s Diamonds nearly doubled its Facebook likes! As you can imagine, they were beyond thrilled.
