Associate Media Planner

Full Time | Canada

The Associate Media Planner will play an integral role alongside an integrated team of marketing professionals in the development of media strategies that drive growth for our clients. They will collaborate with Media Planners and Leads to execute media plans and manage campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Support in the strategy, planning, and execution of media in the overall media process
  • Support in the development of media plans based on our client’s strategic priorities and requirements
  • Support and assist media buyers and planners with day-to-day workload
  • Support media team with reconciliation and billing discrepancies
  • Maintain current knowledge of all industry best practices for the role
  • Manage paid media campaigns alongside a senior team member and negotiate, place and service traditional campaigns
  • Compare and negotiate rates, ad space, and airtime while managing the overall budget for paid media
  • Update and maintain production specs and contacts; as well as sales reps by vendor
  • Set up, execute, and manage media buys in Prisma (media buying platform)
  • Maintain a good relationship and cooperation with local and regional publishers
  • Foster and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Compile and analyze relevant metrics on an ongoing basis to optimize schedules, analyze media alternatives, and make robust recommendations
  • Optimize plans and budgets according to the best media mix and provide ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare schedules and adjust when needed and ensure placements are creative and displayed appropriately

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Current residence in Canada with the ability to legally travel within Canada and to the United States
  • Working knowledge of media buying tools/software
  • First-hand experience in executing wide-spread, multi-channel strategies with a sound understanding of key concepts in this field
  • Experience with digital marketing channels (paid search, social media, programmatic marketing, and analytics)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Some travel may be required
